Ryanair is promoting September and October flights starting from £14.99 on routes like London to Castellon, Barcelona, and Valencia. For November and December, fares begin at around £19.99. Meanwhile, easyJet’s latest sale features over 780,000 discounted seats, offering up to 20% off on selected routes. Passengers can find fares from £18.99 on routes such as Gatwick to Alicante, Bristol to Malaga, and Luton to Barcelona, with some October flights to Palma starting at £15.99.
Wizz Air is enhancing its reach in Spain by opening new bases in Valencia and Madrid this November, which will add routes and heighten competition with Ryanair. Spanish airlines are also participating in this price competition. Vueling is offering up to 20% discounts on 110,000 seats, with international fares starting from €16. Iberia has set domestic flight prices from €24 and fares to select European destinations from €29. Air Europa, celebrating an anniversary, has fares beginning at €25.
The primary goal of these discounts is to stimulate demand following the bustling summer travel period. However, it is important to note that the most affordable fares typically include only a small under-seat bag, with additional costs for seat selection, cabin luggage, and checked bags.
Travel experts advise passengers to compare airline offers for flexible midweek dates, particularly in October, November, and January, when fares are usually lower compared to peak holiday times.
