Google’s AI Solution to the ‘Blank Slide’ Problem Is Here

Date:

Everyone who has ever had to create a presentation knows the dread of staring at a blank slide deck. Google is rolling out a new AI feature designed to solve this exact problem and save users hours of preliminary work.
The new functionality, located in Gemini Canvas, can take any document or report and instantly transform it into a fully designed Google Slides presentation. This includes long research papers, business reports, or simple text outlines.
The AI does all the heavy lifting of initial design. It reads and interprets your text to create a structured, themed slide deck, complete with titles, section breaks, and even relevant visual aids to support your points.
Once the AI has created the draft, users can export it directly into Google Slides. This allows for any final edits, personal touches, or collaborative work with a team, combining AI speed with human control and refinement.
This game-changing feature is already rolling out globally. It’s available for both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. Early reports suggest Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers are seeing it first, with a wider release to follow.
