Range Rover has unveiled its inaugural fully electric SUV in the UK, with a starting price of £154,070. Customers can place orders now, with deliveries anticipated to commence in 2027. This launch represents a significant milestone in Jaguar Land Rover’s strategic shift towards electric vehicles.

The Range Rover Electric will be produced at the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Solihull, UK, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup. The luxury SUV is equipped with dual electric motors that generate up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds. It boasts a driving range of up to 372 miles, as measured by the WLTP testing cycle.

Featuring a 118.5kWh battery, the SUV supports 800-volt charging technology. This allows the battery to replenish from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes, provided the charging conditions are optimal. Maintaining the brand’s hallmark luxury and off-road prowess, the Range Rover Electric integrates an electric powertrain and improved aerodynamic elements, while also offering the capability to wade through water up to 900mm deep.

The development and testing of this electric model have spanned several years, ensuring it meets the high standards expected from the Range Rover name. Production of the vehicle will be supported by Jaguar Land Rover’s facility in Wolverhampton, where battery packs and electric drive units are manufactured, further cementing the company’s investment in electric vehicle technology.
