Trump Dismisses New Iran Leader as “Mistake” while Claiming Victory

Date:

In a bold statement from Florida, President Donald Trump has dismissed Mojtaba Khamenei as a “mistake” and a “lightweight” as the war in Iran nears its end. Trump asserted that the military campaign is “very complete, pretty much,” citing the total degradation of the regime’s defensive capabilities. He framing the conflict as a “short-term excursion” meant to stabilize the region and protect oil trade.
The appointment of the younger Khamenei comes after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, whose 37-year reign was ended by a U.S.-Israeli strike. Trump has suggested that the new leadership will not last, especially with the U.S. systematically targeting the regime’s power centers. Despite the political rhetoric, the U.S. military has continued to launch waves of strikes across Iran.
Trump defended the pre-emptive strikes by claiming that an attack on the U.S. was “100% ready to go” before the coalition intervened. He praised the military for being “far ahead of schedule,” having achieved its primary objectives in just ten days. The President’s focus is on a “total victory” that ensures Iran can never again threaten the American homeland.
The price of oil, which briefly touched $119.50, has become a key metric for the war’s perceived duration. Trump’s assurances that the conflict could end “very soon” led to a sharp retreat in energy costs, offering relief to global stock markets. The President also warned that any interference with the Strait of Hormuz would result in a strike “twenty times harder.”
While the President speaks of completion, the war has displaced hundreds of thousands and led to missile strikes across multiple borders. Trump concluded his update by stating that a “much safer world” is on the horizon once the military mission is finalized. The administration’s focus remains on a “very complete” victory that ensures long-term regional stability.
