Sheikh Tahnoon, UK Security Adviser Discuss Stronger UAE–UK Partnership

Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, held a meeting in Abu Dhabi with two senior advisers to the British government to review the growing partnership between the UAE and the United Kingdom.
During the discussion, Sheikh Tahnoon met Jonathan Powell, the UK’s National Security Adviser, and Varun Chandra, the Special Adviser to the British Prime Minister for Trade Affairs. The talks focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring new areas where the two nations can expand collaboration.
Sheikh Tahnoon noted that both sides highlighted shared opportunities to strengthen strategic ties across economic, security, and political fields. The meeting also touched on current developments of mutual interest and reviewed joint efforts to address regional and global challenges.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing international cooperation to support peace, stability, and sustainable development, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to working closely with partners to address emerging issues.
The meeting reaffirmed the long-standing partnership between the UAE and the UK and demonstrated their joint commitment to expanding cooperation for mutual benefit.
